Pottsville, Texas History, Genealogy and Trivia

Frederick Davis Lott Koen was a Primative Baptist Minister and his picture is in one of the churches there. He rode horse back between Texas and Arkansas 3 times. The 3rd time he was about 80 years old. His son in law D.L. Reynolds and daughter Nannie resided in Hamilton before moving to Greer County Texas. D.L. Reynolds delivered the mail on horse back for a while. Nannie's cousin Molly Pierson died and is buried alone with F.D.L. Koen. Moly, Nannie and her mother had spent the summer at a mineral well or spring trying to heal. Molly lost the battle. - Bob
